Walt Sanders and The Cadillac Band is an "Original Tribute to Elvis...like none other!" This tribute differs from all others because of the individuals involved, the way in which the project was formed, and the overall goals of the project. With other Elvis tribute bands, the focus is on copying the original artist with the highest accolades going to the one who comes the closes. From the beginning, Walt Sanders and The Cadillac Band wanted to be different. This desire was evident in the people selected to form the band. The Cadillac Band was assembled like any original band. Look-a-likes to the original TCB group that backed Elvis were never considered. Instead, some of the best musicians in Ohio were selected. Together, they have developed The Cadillac Band into an original sounding tribute. Make no mistake: the sound and style of Elvis is fully captured. Many audience members have remarked specifically on the sound's authenticity. However, the band did not want to stop there. Realizing that many other tributes to Elvis exist, Walt Sanders and The Cadillac Band have worked hard to be genuinely unique, and not for the sake of saying that they are different.
