City Heat was formed in 1984 primarily as a vocal group. Our dance/nightclub
act performed mainly 60’s and 70’s rock, Motown and R & B. Now in our
22nd year, we have also played hundreds of weddings,
country clubs and special events. This has caused us to expand our
repertoire greatly to include a cross section of 50’s, 80’s and 90’s
as well as country, jazz and standards. Our strength, however, is
still our comprehensive 60’s and 70’s danceable song list and our
ability to play requests and adapt to any situation.
Our two most recent
members have really been a shot in the arm to the band. Mike Hudak
was with Gary Lewis and the Playboys (“This Diamond Ring”) for 10
years before joining City Heat. Mike has actually played with many of
the 60’s and 70’s acts whose music we currently perform.
Felicia Rosati is a young, dynamic singer who adds a whole new dimension to
the band. Her versatility – everything from Aretha Franklin to
Melissa Ethridge to Shania Twain – has made her a tremendous addition
to the band. The Cuda brothers
and Bruce Kowalski have always been the musical backbone of the band.
And Larry Jester continues to be arguably the best singer in the
business. Larry can sing anything from the Temptations to Elton John,
Joe Cocker, Led Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, country, blues and 50’s rock
and roll; and sing them all extremely well.
